Question
Hello Dr's.... Well I have registered here in search of a solution to the problem my baby faces...So am not a Dr ! Symptom : My baby is 9 mnths old. Since the 8mnth Jan, he has developed rashes all over the body which causes him terrible itching. This has been diagonised as Atopic Dermatitis. After a dose of antibiotics and Atarax drops along with external treatment (Cetaphil + T- Bact) the rashes subside. Again they reappear after few days. I am not able to find the cause of it. Currently he feeds on milk, dal, rice, banana, grapes, carrots, potato, white bread. His clothing is strictly cotton. We do not have any pets at home. Kindly guide me as to what could be the reason behind the allergy and how I could identify it. Thanks & Regards Usha.
Answer
The cause of allergy is usually difficult to identify. It could be due to processed food, dust, mats, pets, pollen etc. The best thing to do is to avoid foods with artificial colour, formulas and give as natural a diet as possible. Also use hypoallergenic soaps and powder.
