Does a single blood transfusion (either pcv or whole blood)affect bone marrow examination. if it is so after how many days of blood transfusion bone marrow aspiration should be performed?

Answer
Yes, a single blood transfusion affects the bone marrow examination. If suspecting leukemia, serially monitor CBC weekly and as soon as there is a change that appears, one may do a bone marrow examination.
