Want to know rational use of coughsyrup combination which type & when to use ,like noscopin , pholcodein , antihistamin with pseudoephdrin combination ,antihistamin with dextro combination

Answer
Ideally there are 2 types of cough syrups - cough suprresant and cough expertorant. In cough suppressant usually the combination of antihistamine and dextromethorphan or codeine is useful. Among the cough expectorant, mucolytics with bronchodilators are useful.
