A simple clincal diagnosis: Isonatremic dehydration - Degree of dehydration is equivalent to the amount of losses. Hyponatermic dehydration - Degree of dehydration is more than the amount of losses. Hypernatremic dehydration - Degree of dehydration is less than the amount of losses. For isonatremic dehydration - amount of sodium required is 5-6meq/l For hyponatremic dehydration - sodium required is 8-10meq/l For hypernatremic dehydration - sodium required is 2-4meq/l.
