Can a new born baby be fed with 5% glucose water orally pending when the mother begin to lactate.?

Answer |
|
A newborn when latching to the breast will lead to lactation in the mother. Very rarely there will be lactation failure. In such a case formula feeds or animal milk may be given with frequent suckling of the newborn at the breast to ensure lactation in the mother. Once she is getting enough milk, replacement feeds can be stopped.
