Question |
6 month old child has been given BCG twice , but the scar has not developed.does the child need to be vaccinated again for t same?

Answer |
One must first need to be absolutely sure whether the BCG was given or not. The scar takes about 3-4 months to form. If given subcutaneously, the scar may not develop. One can give a MANTOUX test and if negative, BCG may be repeated again.
