I am a parent of a child who is 25 days old. The mother has contacted chicken pox two days ago and is under isolation from the child. I have been advised by variuos peds to get the child vaccinated by VZIG. However, the immunoglobulin is not available off the shelf. Whichever chemist have it, say that it is from grey market and is to be given intra veinous rather than intra muscular please advise from where can i get the vaccine. I am base in chandigarh. Also, is it okay to give it intra veinous rather than intra muscular

VZIG needs to be given in 90 hours of exposure. It is to be given IM/IV.
