Question |
A Baby has vaccination of DPT and OPV at 6 weeks of age. He is almost 8 weeks. can I give Hib vaccine alone at 8 weeks? If so, how to continue further doses? together with DPT or to be given separately? Is there any different in developing immunity if I give DPT at 6-10-14 weeks and Hib at 8-12-16weeks. with thanks

No a minimum gap of 4 weeks should be kept between any 2 vaccines. Either the vaccines can be given on the same day or a gap of 4 weeks should be kept between the 2 vaccines as giving vaccines may interfere with developing protective antibodies.
You may give HIB with second dose of DPT and OPV
