My child age-9 months has been having fever on and off since 2 months.Initially we thought it was malaria and got her treated with anti malarials but the fever came back after 10 days ,then we trated her for enteric fever with cefuroxime axetil for 14 days but on the 13th day she developed fever again.urine routine showed pus cell over 25 hpf .kindly guide us on what treatment to give.our pediatrician is not sure why the fever is occuring.

Since is the urine is showing pus cells, a urine infection should be ruled out. A urine culture as well as ultrasound of the kidneys would be useful.
