If fasting & PP sugar are in normal limit What is the use of going for GTT to rule out glucose intolerance

Answer
Sometimes Glucose tolerance test will be the only abnormality that may help to pickup latent diabetes mellitus even if fasting and post prandial blood sugar is normal. It is especially useful to diagnose type 2 diabetes or gestational diabetes
