PATTERN OF MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY
|
Increase in C. P. K., L. D. H., H. B. D. H., S. G. O. T. are characteristics of muscular dystrophies. Degree of elevation of muscle enzymes depend upon
- type of dystrophy (marginal rise is seen in facio – scapulo – humeral type),
- duration of the disease (decreasing enzymes are seen during late burnt out stage) &
- severity of the disease. à In advanced DMD , creatinine is usually low.
