PATTERN OF OBSTRUCTIVE JAUNDICE
Marked increase in bilirubin (conjugated), alkaline phosphatase, G.G.T.P., triglycerides and cholesterol are characteristic of obstructive jaundice. Variable increase in liver enzymes may be seen due to secondary parenchymatous damage are seen. Similar pattern is temporarily also observed in " cholestatic phase " of infective hepatitis.
