Introduction:
Seizure is the second most common presentation at the pediatric ER of our institution, so seizure as a clinical symptom was taken up in the study. CT Scan more often the than not would decipher the intra cranial pathology in cases presenting with seizure. So a study which utilized CT Scan to diagnose the etiology in cases of seizure was taken up.

Study Objectives and Aim:
A case series of seizure patients whose CT revealed presence of structural intra cranial abnormality and to determine the percentage incidence of diseases associated.

Methods:
A retrospective case series of children with seizure of a tertiary care children hospital without trauma designation C Pediatrics Dept. of PMCH. The series comprised of all patients who presented between 19/10/05 to 10/01/06 with seizure and underwent head CT as a part of evaluation.

Results: Total number of patients presenting with seizure: 225 our inclusion criterion were met by 56 patients, Boys: 28, Girls: 28

Conclusions:
Retrospective study of patients with seizure and associated CT findings revealed that infections had the highest incidence and congenital malformations the least incidence in our institution.

The results also prove that tubercular meningitis (50%) produced more structural CT abnormalities than pyogenic (29%) meningitis (54% to 24%) many patients of TBM had infarcts in the different regions of brain (54%) [15/28].

Infective granulomas were second most common structural CT abnormality in pts presenting with seizure (9%).

There were 6% (3 cases) with SOL (Space Occupying Lesion) in the head who presented with seizures, the 3 cases were brainstem glioma, gliosis case of schizencephaly and one case of Tuberous sclerosis.

Other group included a case of chronic subdural hematomas.
