First new class of anti Asthma drugs in more than 25 years.
Leukotriene antagonists and inhibitors
They can either block leukotriene receptors (Zafirlukast, Montelukast) or inhibit enzyme 5 lipoxygenase ( Zileuton).

They produce long-term bronchodilatation.
