It is advisable to avoid closed, crowded settings like shopping malls, movie theatres and sporting events to prevent and minimize exposure to the swine flu virus.

Can I travel to areas affected by swine flu?
Yes. World Health Organization (WHO) is not recommending travel restrictions related to the outbreak of the influenza A (H1N1) virus. Influenza A (H1N1) has already been confirmed in many parts of the world. At the same time, people who are ill should delay travel plans. Returning travelers who become ill should contact their health care provider. Travelers can protect themselves and others by following simple prevention practices similar to those followed in daily life.
Can I send my child to school?
One should follow public health advice regarding school closures, avoiding crowds and other social distancing measures. However avoid sending your child to school if the child has fever, or flu like symptoms to prevent spread to other children.
