Congenital Myopathies and Anesthesia : Anesthesia in Children
Myopathies :
Myopathies are primary diseases of striated muscles in which biochemical, morphological or neurophysiological changes occur singly or in combination. They are characterized by the description of the histologic lesion and the clinical and genetic picture. Congenital myopathies are mainly of 3 types:
1. Central core disease
2. Nemaline myopathy
3. Nemaline myopathy
ANESTHESIA RELATED PROBLEMS:
The various problems faced by us are:

- Cardiovascular problems ranging from arrhythmias to heart block
- Respiratory failure
- Problems due to other congenital abnormalities
