How GIR can be exactly maintained in a baby with hypoglycemia,started on feeds but still have RBS in lower range.

start glucose infusion with 6mg, kg, min preferrably via an infusion pump, monitor rbs, titrate accordingly.

What do you mean by rbs in lower range. rbs less than 40 is hypoglycemia. above 40 is normal.

you mean glucose insulin ratio _? why GIR is done to monitor hypoglycemia, do you suspect possibility of hyperinsulinemic state { other than IDDM }.
If IDDM follow the guidelines .
