DIAGNOSTIC DILEMMA

An 8 year old boy presented with primary nocturnal enuresis and mild puffiness of eyelids since 1 year. Investigations showed: microalbuminuria. He was treated with Imipramine for enuresis to which he responded. What is the cause of the proteinuria? Is it a cause of concern.

PEDIATRIC QUIZ

A 7 years old girl presented with recurrent episodes of cough and cold for the past 2 years. Cold may persist even longer up to 2 weeks sometimes. Symptoms are worse in spring. Symptoms always start with cold followed by itchy feeling in the throat. She gets relieved with treatment {anti-histamines}. Father has allergy to dust and maternal grandmother is on inhalers for asthma. On examination, she is a mouth breather. She has an erythematous oropharynx, hypertrophied nasal turbinates and serous rhinorrhea. What is the diagnosis?

A 7 year old boy was brought to the pediatric dermatology clinic with intense pruritic lesions over forearm, neck, legs (exposed areas) since 1 week. There is history of similar lesions in mother and sibling. The lesions were linear, vesicular, oozing. On enquiry, all of them were involved in stacking up of firewood one week back. What is the diagnosis?
