DIAGNOSTIC DILEMMA

Pediatric Oncall
A 2 year old girl presented with one episode of hematemesis. Her prothrombin time and partial thromboplastin time, Liver function tests, USG Abdomen & Oesophageogastroscopy were normal. What is the cause of hematemesis?

Last fortnight's query of a 9 month old boy with pallor, hyperpigmented fingers & bilateral subdural hematoma had several replies. Most doctors have suggested Megaloblastic anemia. The authors have replied that the child died due to pancytopenia and they also suspect the child to have megaloblastic anemia.
