- QUESTION OF THE DAY:
These are questions asked by our viewers to the experts on the panel of Pediatric Oncall.
- Can "Cefepime" be used in the treatment of meningitis and osteomyelitis?
- If a child comes in with dystonic reactions (oculogyric crisis) secondary to the overdosage of IV Maxolon, what would the management of choice or the drug of choice to be given?
- What would be the differential diagnosis of a child who is very well nourished but coming in with symptoms of wet beriberi (cardiomyopathy with right heart failure) and improving tremendously with oral thiamine? This child does not have any evidence of any other vitamin or mineral deficiency or PEM and comes from a well off family. This child is developmentally delayed but not dysmorphic.
