As per defination microcephaly it is head circumferencemore than 3 sd below for that age & sex. BUT no chart including NCHS give 3sd which is actually less than 2 percentile(it is 3sd & not 3rd percentile) pls clarify. A 5wk old child was referred by health visitor regard baby not gaining wt basically bottle fed takes 5 oz every 3 hrly c&g .baseline bloods including FBC U&E LFT TFT BONE PROFILE WERE normal except sr phosphate is high which is 2.42. we have not yet got a diagnosis .but o/e has grd 3/6 sm+ CXR was normal . could you tell what other inv we do in this baby.     Check out the answer
