An 11 yr. old girl with sharp upper abdominal pains off and on for 10 weeks, nausea with no vomiting, no diarrea, headaches. Has had an ultra sound, blood work, stool sample, stomach x-ray, chest w-ray, barium swallow.

Since all investigations are normal, one should rule out hepatitis, pancreatitis and gastritis. These would be picked up by barium, blood tests and ultrasound. Also rule out porphria. Do a urine for porphria
