Respected sir, Hypotonic cerebral palsy ia avery rare condition Hence most books have mentioned about it briefly.Please give me more info about localisation of lesion in this condition also mech of hypotonia when cerebrum is involved i.e UMN lesion Your website is very useful Only sugge is inclu abstract of various international journals Thanking you Yours sincerely.

Answer

Hypotonia in a child with CP would be due to involvement of cerebellum. Initial stages of spastic CP may have hypotonia due to involvement of the corticospinal tract which may get established finally as spasticity.
