Ibuprofen - 10 mg/kg/body weight for the first dose, followed at 24-hour intervals by 2 additional doses of 5 mg/kg each. Indications of surgery: Ductal closure is indicated for cardiovascular compromise (ie, pulmonary complications) and for reduction of the risk of infective endocarditis (subacute bacterial endocarditis)and in patients with failure of medical line of management.
