There is relatively little experience with the use of fluconazole in children with Onychomycosis (Aihara et al. 1996, Assaf et al. 1996, Gupta et al. 1997a). Intermittent dosing (3-6 mg/kg, one dose per week) is the most common regimen used for fluconazole, with 26 weeks for toenails and 12 weeks for fingernails.
