Dear sir i have seen paediatrician using Cap Amoxy in child having epigastric severe pain.What is the role of Amoxy in abdominal pain

Answer
Antibiotic is not recommended unless there is a bacterial infection. Amox may be part of triple drug therapy to eradicate H.pylori infection in case of gastritis.
