Question
In the present scenario of rampant enteric fever,will it be rational to vaccinate all adolscents & adults (in addition to above 2yr children) with vi polysaccharide vaccine ?

Answer
The vaccine will immunize the person for 2 years and then the child will again be susceptible to the disease. Hence if one can ensure hygienic food and water intake then one can not only prevent enteric fever but other water and food borne infections.
