Question
Have anyone tried Paracetamol (Anamol) suppositories launched by Elder Pharmaceuticals on their pediatric patients. I have tried it on 3 patients and it gave an excellent results in Fever associated with teething and immunization. I want to know whether this Anamol suppositories can be used for other indications.
Answer
It may be useful in patients with febrile convulsions. However, in patients who tolerate paracetamol orally, a suppository is not indicated as it is not very easy for the patient to take and oral paracetamol works effectively.
