Question |
I have come across two cases, one, a neonate and another an infant, with cervical and cervico-dorsal anomalies. The infant has torticollis and the neonate has associated cleft lip. Do these vertebral anomalies need any further evaluation and treatment?

Answer |
Yes, rule out VATER and chromosomal defects and midline defects. Do an ultrasound of the kidneys and if a heart murmur is present, echocardiography may be required.
