Obesity in 5 years old girl with microscopic hematuria.

Answer |

The 2 may be unrelated. One needs to find out the cuase of hematuria whether glomerular or lower urinary tract. Conditions such as AGN, calculi and UTI should be ruled out.
Also is the obesity endogenous or exogenous? A bone age and height would be useful. Cushings should be kept in mind as many times a child with microscopic hematuria may have received steroids.
