16 yr oid female is hepatitis B carrier discoverd by chance her inves completetigation are ;HBs Ag positive,HBe Ag and HBc Ag negative,HBc Ab HBe Ab positive ,PCR HBV DNA 519 LFT normal does this patient need treatment ? is there isbenefit of lamivuidine 100 mg/day for 1 yr for complete elimination of viremia and viral replication? with my regards

Since the patient is asymptomatic, has a low viral load and is eAb positive, there is no need for treatment. One would have to periodically monitor her liver function tests and HBV viral load and HBsAg along with Anti HBs Ab.
