This is a query I would like a pediatrician to answer. First of all let me congratulate the people behind this site. This is a wonderful concept. I wish you guys all the very best. My son is 2years and 6 months old. From his 3 months he has been a respiratory tract patient. He had been admitted to hospitals 3 times with wheezing so far. this was till he was about 1year and 6 months old. He has since not had a single episode of wheezing. from the age of 1 year and 6 months till about 5 months back he had been well without any problems. All his vaccines have been given on time. For the past 5 months he has been having one ailment or the other every month. Usually it is respiratory tract infections. The whole thing started off with typhoid ( Salmonella 300 titre H and O) about 4-5 months back. he was treated with Taxim o for 21 days. he showed negative after the treatment. After this every month he has Cold , Cough and Fever. the latest being episode of Voimiting and Diahorrea 5 days back followed by cough. Which is under control now ( except the cough). Oral Rehydration was given. Vomistop stopped vomiting and diahorrea treated with Normetrogyl. One more days course left for normetrogyl. Lacto B given along with Normetrogyl to retain normal flora. What are the ways to improve his immunity? Are there ways to stop these recurrent infections and the use of antibiotics? are these recurrent infections because of joining him in a play school ( play school is 4 months old).   - Check out the answer

My son aged 7 yrs started developing rashes some 6 months back on his hands and legs. Initially there were 2 to 3 on his hands and later it developed in his legs also. The doctor intially suggested its insect bite and gave some ointment to apply. The rashes then started getting opened up as the child scrached it and started getting wet. The he was shown to a skin specialist who suggested that as his grandmother has asthma it could be a variant of that and gave liquid paraffin to apply, as the weather out here is dry and a cortisone ointment to apply for 10 days. The rashes came under control after this treatment. But after we stopped the cortisone ointment it again started appearing on the same points as small puss pointsall over the rash area. What is this problem and what is the permenant cure to it? - Check out the answer
