Question Category : Gallstones
My 12 years old daughter suffered from acute infective hepatitis around 8 months back. She recovered uneventfully after that. She was doing fine till now, when she was admitted for acute gastroenteritis with uncontrolled vomiting & pain abdomen. USG was done which was normal except showing gallstone (single, size-9mm). Previous USG at time of Hepatitis was normal (i.e. no gallstone). There is no family h/o hemolytic anemia, even her hemogram does not suggest this. What could be the cause for gallstone? What should be our approach now for gallstone? She has not been on any medications.
