Question Category : Gingivitis
I want to know if kissing (for short time or over weeks) can lead to the gum disease gingivitis? If someone who had the condition kissed another without it, would the disease spread through kissing? Thanks.
Question Category : Gingivitis
My gums in some parts of my mouth seem like they are receding. My tooth seems to get sensitive to air and food sometimes. It is a shocking pain, but it doesn't happen all of the time. When I feel it from the gum and go down I can feel a little ridge in the tooth. I am very nervous about this. Is it gingivitis gone bad or what?

Question Category : Gingivitis
I have migrated to this country from India, and since my coming here last month, I am suffering from inflamed gums and bleeding of the gums whilst brushing for quite some time. The dentist I approached for treatment, cleaned my teeth and told me that it is gingivitis. However, inspite of the regular brushing after every meal and having the right kind of food, the problem persists. I changed the toothpaste from the Aquafresh brand to the Colgate brand. I was allergic to some toothpaste when in India and feel that I am allergic to the present Colgate brand of toothpaste here in States. I was also put on some Azithreomycin tablets for some days. It did help only for a couple of days. Please advice. Should I try some other brand of toothpaste, that will cure my problem. Or continue more of Azithromycin. I am almost starving these few days as its a problem while chewing food too.
