Question Category : Lumps
My 4 year old daughter developed a lump on the back of her head. There is no redness or head or opening, not painful. Has been as large as a golfball and can change size daily. Her behaviour changes when the lump is large. Nothing on her blood test. Has had an X ray and a CT scan, no pressure or fluid on her brain. Is now waiting for a bone scan to rule out osteomyelitis, but we may have to wait upto 2 months. Can you give me anymore information and should we consider going private as we have family Bupa cover. Should we insist on treatment happening sooner. We first found the lump 5 weeks ago. At present the lump is there, but small. Thank you for any information you can give us

I have a 9 month old baby boy. Yesterday, I noticed a soft lump on the right side of his head , just above the ear. On getting X-rays done, it was found that he has a fracture in the skull. CT scan has been advised but I have not been given a date so far for it. I am very worried as to what could be the reason for this soft swelling. The doctor said that there is a possibility of a leakage. Please explain what that is and what might the process that they will do.Please Help!!

Question Category : Lumps
My 2 month old baby boy had developed a lump behind his ear. I asked his doctor and he said it was a swallow lymph node from a infected hair follicle, and it would go away in a few weeks, but hasn't. Now a new one has formed on the back of his head. Any suggestion?
