My grandson is 3 1/2 yrs old and is deficient in speech. We had him evaluated by his school and a clinical doctor. Both see him as being learning disabled to a degree, but have not ruled out hearing as a possible problem. After visiting with the doctor we went to a lab and had blood taken from the child. My brother's grand daughter, of age 2 years, has hearing and speech problem. Infact she cannot speak even simple words like Aai,Baba, Kaka,etc. Her responses to our conversation are also very slow. We have fixed hearing aids in both her ears for last 4-5 months but without much usefulness.
