Question Category : Breast Feeding
My child is 4 months old. I had a cesarean so I fed her lying down. Even now I am feeding her lying down. Her intake is very poor. If I feed her while I am sitting , she does not drink at all. Both of us feel uncomfortable while I am sitting down. But my mother says that I should not feed her in lying down position. Is it wrong to feed her in lying down position. What can I do now?

I understand that when mothers fully breast feed, their menstruation does not come as it is a natural contraception. My baby is now 8 months old & I am still breastfeeding her. However my menstruation has started. Is it because I have started solid food for my baby & she is not drinking as much as she used to? Will the cycle stop again?

Question Category : Breast Feeding
I've had several friends who have had babies who fail to thrive because they feed their babies at one breast per feed. They have been told by health professionals to feed for dear life on one breast "to get all the hind milk". I am pleased your web site suggests otherwise; 10-15 minutes on each side , on demand always produces a bouncing baby in my experience. Any comments?

Question Category : Breast Feeding
My friend is breast feeding and her baby falls asleep frequently while feeding. He was not gaining weight, so the nurses had her supplement with formula. I suggested that she nurse the baby and then switch to the other side and pump the rest of the milk out of the breast he was on to get her milk supply increased. Was this advise good or not?
