Question Category : Breathing Problem
My 8+ year old grandson still has tracheomalacia. Several times a year he has severe episodes of inability to breathe and requires emergency room care. Any suggestions can you give? The data I find says this should be outgrown by age 2. Obviously it hasn't been. Thanks
Question Category : Breathing Problem
My 3 year old daughter had a vascular ring(right side dominant dbl aortic arch) repaired when she was 12 weeks old. This past year she has had problems with respiratory infections loud breathing and choking on food. We were sent to OSCHNER hospital where several tests were run. She has been diagnosed with Tracheo and Larangeomalasia. The Vascular surgeon said that the area where it has occurred is not in an area that would be caused by the vascular ring. He is stumped right now and looking for answers. Can anyone direct me to a physician who specializes in Larangeo and tracheomalacia?
