My 9 year old son just pointed out a lump on the back of his head. It has some redness to it and he said it is bothering him. What should be my next step? Sincerely, Jackie
Question Category : Lumps
My three day old nephew has an abdominal mass (possibly a pulmonary sequestered tumor versus adrenal mass). On CT and MRI he was found to have "Enlarged Lymphnodes". Is this secondary to the mass, is it lymphoma? Is there any correlation between any type of mass and development of lymphoma? We've gotten no answers yet from the hospital docs.

My son has a lump on the top of his head that is tender when pressed on and there is a bald spot on the lump. What are the causes for this?
Question Category : Lumps
My boy has a swelling on the left side of his neck. In addition, the lymph nodes just below his ear are swollen. The mum took him to a GP and he prescribed Zinnat suspension. The query then is what did the doctor suspect it was....he is due back in a weeks time. I did not get to know what is ailing my boy.
Question Category : Lumps
My son is almost 8 months old. He has a bump on his cheek that looks like an adult whitehead. He has had it this months since he was about 4 months old. Do I need to see my doctor or will this most likely go way on it's own?
Question Category : Lumps
My 11 month old son seems to have a lump inside his back on the right side of the spine. It's barely noticeable, and doesn't feel like a marble or anything. It's about the diameter of a half dollar, but doesn't feel like anything different than the rest of his back. It just is a little more convex there. He's had regular pediatric care during and after pregnancy. I just noticed it today. Is this something I should be worried about? He's due for his 1 yr checkup in 5 weeks, is this too long to wait to get it checked?
Question Category : Lumps
My 18 month old son has a lump on the right side of his head just above the ear about 2 in length and 1 in width. The lump is raise ever so slightly; only about 1 centimeter. The lump feels hard like bone. It is not at all soft like a tissue tumor would be. He is very normal in every other way. Any ideas what this could be? Is it safe to have a CT done?
Question Category : Lumps
My 6 year old son developed visible lumps on both sides of his neck starting a few years ago. In the last 6 months they have grown considerably and now has small ones in his arm pits & groin. He is always fatigued and tires easily in sports. His blood work is good. CT scan shows enlarged nodes and tonsils. We are being referred to a pediatric ENT, then a biopsy. Any suggestions as to what this might be?
