Question
Hello I am wondering about my son he was born July 11/2003 he just got his first tooth April 26, 2004 he is our fourth son and the other boys had one at the time of 5 months. Also it is a top one and it does not look like the bottom ones are even swollen should I get him checked out or is this normal.
Answer
Some children may get their teeth early whereas some may get it late. The usual age is around 6-7 months. If the child does not get dentition by 1 year of age, he needs to be shown to a pediatric dentist. Though the lower incisor is the 1st tooth to come the order may change. If his milestones are normal and he is growing well, one should not be worried.
