Question
How do we know that a baby has ingested something?
Answer
IF the baby has ingested a large thing, the baby would start choking on it immediately. If the baby has ingested a small item, it may either go into the stomach or the lungs. If in the lungs, there may be some amount of coughing. If in the stomach, the item should pass out in the stools in the next 7 days.
