I have a 21 month old son who had a right kidney removal in july 2003 we have now been told that he has hydronephrosis in the left kidney is there any possiblitity that he may loose this kidney too we are still on going with scans and tests |

What was the reason for the nephrectomy? The hydronephrotic kidney is causing problems with renal function may predict chronic renal insufficiency and you may need to follow up with a pediatric nephrologist to monitor him for renal failure and further treatment. |
