Question
My 2 year old daughter has had a kidney infection for 2 months now. She is now on her 10th medication. Nothing is helping. Her father and Aunt have kidney disease and maybe two more of her Uncles. The Doctor wants her to go see a specialist but we haven't heard anything. Is there any way we can speed this process up?
Answer
With such a family background of kidney disease and the child already having an uncontrolled kidney infection, it is imperative to take her to a pediatric nephrologist at the earliest to determine what is the cause and try and prevent further damage to the kidneys.
