| Question : |
My 12 year old son was playing in a tennis tournament today, and began feeling pain followed by numbness from the knees down. He was not able to continue to play. He is healthy, active and of normal weight. It has slowly resolved over the last couple of hours, but he says his legs still feel "funny". Should we see a doctor about this? Could this be just "nerves"? |
Answer |
Just ensure that he has proper water, glucose and salt intake. It could be cramps that could have been aggravated with water or salt depletion especially in hot weather. |
