As I know, nephrotic syndrome usually happened to children 8-12 yo. How bad it is if happened to a woman 40 yo, will it cause the damage of her kidneys, what medicine usually need to be taken? Thank you. |

Yes, nephrotic syndrome is common in children. However it can occur in adults and if untreated can damage the kidneys. Treatment as first line is steroids in children. For an adult, you must consult an adult physician. |
