Question
My daughter was diagnosed with delayed fear response, which infants have, but grow out of, when my child hears certain noises, she will bend rapidly at the waist, and fall down if she is standing. She does not have seizures. How can this be treated or can it. any info greatly appreciated.
Answer
There seems to be a hyperstartle. One needs to know whether she has achieved her milestones at the correct age or not. She needs evaluation by a pediatric neurologist to rule out conditions such as Tay Sachs disease, Cerebral palsy etc.
