Question
I have had a miscarriage before 9 months and have fibroid operation before 8 months. Now after that I am having torch test 3 times. Last test was occurred on 31/01/2006. Rubella Igg is positive 65.2. Igm is negative that is 0.83. CMV Igg is positive 11.1. CMV Igm is negative. Shall I go for pregnancy? M 31 year old and my Igg comes positive since last 8 months. What care I should take during pregnancy?
Answer
Since your IgG has been positive since last 8 months and your IgM is negative, it rules out an acute infection and suggests that your are immune to both the diseases. Thus chances of getting infection with CMV and rubella are rare and thus does not pose any risk of transmission to the fetus.
