Question
My CMV IgG is positive, CMV IgM is negative, Rubella IgG is Positive and Rubella IgM is Negative is it create a problem in next pregnancy. My abortion was happened in the month of January'04 due to Rubella and CMV. Now I did not do the Rubella and CMV test. It is necessary to do this test before next pregnancy.
Answer
Yes you must do the CMV IgG and Rubella IgG test again to rule out persistent infection. If the titre rises significantly, it denotes that you had an infection in the past and that now you may be immune to it.
