Question
My 4 months old baby has eczema since she was 1 month old. Is eczema link to asthma or will it leads to other health problems? My pediatrician told me that eczema will usually improved after the child reached his/her second birthday, is this true?
Answer
Eczema is a form of skin allergic and patients with allergic dermatitis have a higher tendency of other allergic disorders such as asthma or allergic rhinitis. However, usually children outgrow this condition and very few have allergic problems even in adulthood.
