Dear Sir, my son is 26 yrs old now and has frequent attack of boils in different parts of body since last one year as he has moved from Mumbai to Kolkata. It remains very painful as well as lot of pus comes out when compressed by warm wet cotton. Antibiotics are given to him as prescribed. It cures him that time but it reappears after 3/4 months. What may be the cause? Is it due to Allergy or bacterial infection? How to prevent it?
Answer
Since there is pus coming out, it suggests a bacterial infection. If he is having it too often, one must rule out a lower immune system. Your doctor may advise further tests to find out the status of his immune system. Back to All Questions
